Driving an all-terrain vehicle gives you an exhilarating thrill like no other vehicle does. They’re weight provides you with stability and gives you a sense of security that smaller vehicles don’t. But which to choose: an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) or a Utility Task Vehicle (UTV)? And why do we ask? Because we offer you both of these options to ride on a guided tour through the Colorado Rockies trails.

Let’s talk about the differences between these two so you can make up your mind and book your tour now! Mile Hi Rafting Company, just 30 minutes from Denver, offers outdoor adventure for everyone in the family. Differences between an ATV and a UTVMileHi ATV in the Fall

Both these vehicles are what we refer to off-road vehicles. Even though they both share many similarities, they do have differences adapted to their purpose, but both are certainly built to enjoy an outdoor adventure! An ATV may have 3 or 4 wheels, sitting for one rider, which is more a recreational vehicle that can go at faster speeds, make sharp quick turns and also carry heavy loads. No roof, no windshield. A UTV can carry two people, sitting side-by-side, which is the most obvious difference between these two. UTV have a truck-like bed that can haul more and heavier cargos. They are wider and longer than an ATV, have roofs and windshields. Some may have up to 6 wheels. They vary according to their purposes. Both feature awesome suspension and aggressive tires,  you’ll be sitting on full power!

So, which one to book?

If you’re planning a thrilling outdoor adventure, with friends for a short 2-3 nights or a day trip maybe the ATV is what you need. Smaller loads as the distance is not that long, and some exhilaration as we ride up the trails with the wind in our faces. On the other hand, if you’re planning to take your family to that fishing trip you’ve been hoping to make and plan to stay longer, the UTV might be exactly what you need. Also, for day trips if you’re carrying heavier loads. Both will allow you to admire the astonishing views and enjoy the wildlife all around you! We have many ATV tour and UTV tour packages that offer options for everyone, come enjoy the fall at Clear Creek County!
