Mount Evans Scenic Byway

For jaw dropping scenery, try the Mount Evans Scenic Byway, the highest paved road in North America.  The drive tops out at over 12,000 ft, and is a place where mountain goats are often spotted.

Hwy 93

Canadian Geese Flying into the SunsetTake a scenic drive from Golden to Boulder on Hwy 93.  It boasts stunningly beautiful scenery, and with a cozy mist, it would provide the perfect afternoon, particularly with a mug of hot coffee.


Evergreen is one of the most quintessential mountain towns in the Colorado Rockies.  It’s a perfect way to spend a lazy afternoon.  Come visit a cafe in Evergreen, one of which was featured on The Food Network for their amazing hand crafted donuts as large as your face.  Donuts and a rainy day?  Perfection.
