The first Saturday of June will be a perfect day for the lovers of the outdoors. The largest outdoor expo in Southern Colorado is back and you won’t want to miss it.
Participate in Outdoor Day: Southern CO’s Largest Outdoor Expo
When? Saturday, June 2, 2018
The beautiful state of Colorado is certainly a place to be experienced. Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the City of Colorado Springs, Mike Johnson Youth Hunting Projects, and Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance invite us to enjoy a full day of outdoor activities, including biking, kayaking, fly fishing, climbing and more, starting at 9 am until 3 pm. This is the perfect day to get outdoors with your family and friends, leaving stress behind, to have a blast in the middle of nature and take part in the many different recreation activities that will be available.
Where? Memorial Park in Colorado Springs
You can find Memorial Park in Colorado Springs, at 1605 E. Pikes Peak Avenue. Be prepared for a great day outdoors and make sure you pack up everything you need, including high SPF sunscreen and plenty of water, so you can stay hydrated throughout the day.
The best part? The event is free of charge. Last year, approximately 5,000 people attended, most of them were families that were eager to spend some time outdoors and have fun away from the buzz of everyday life.
