Mile Hi Rafting Q&A
Planning an outdoor adventure takes time, and of course, you want to know everything about where you’re going. At Mile Hi Rafting, we often get many questions about our services and other details. We heard you and compiled some of the most frequent questions along with our answers, so you can get all the details you need to book your next adventure.
Who has to sign the Participant Release of Liability & Assumption of Risk Agreement?
Everyone who participates in the raft trip must sign this form. For participants under age 18 at the time of registration, the Parent/Guardian of the participant must also sign and date the form.
What equipment is provided by Mile Hi Rafting?
We provide helmets, wetsuits, life jackets, and splash jackets for all rafting trips. If you need booties, you can rent them for an additional $3.00.
Is there a restroom stop along the river while on the half-day rafting trip?
There are no restrooms along the river. Typically the actual on-water time is between an hour to 1 1/2 hours. There are restrooms and changing rooms at Mile Hi, though, so we recommend you make a stop there before we go.
Do I need a driver’s license to drive the ATV?
You won’t need a driver’s license, but you will need an ID that matches the credit card you use. Also, the max weight for an ATV with passenger and cargo is 485 pounds.
Can an 18-year-old drive and have a 14-year-old as a passenger?
No. The thing is the driver takes responsibility for the passenger, which is why the driver will need to be a parent, legal guardian, or at least someone over 26.
Can the ATV passenger and driver switch along the way, so each gets a chance to drive?
Of course! All you need to do is inform your guide so the passenger can practice in our flat parking lot before your ATV trip starts.
Do you provide transportation from Denver?
We don’t, but there are several Uber and Lift drivers in the area.
What do I need to book a trip?
You will need a credit card to make your payment. If you do not have a credit card, you can send a check or money order for the full amount, but the check must clear three days before your scheduled trip.
How far in advance should I book?
