Take Your Love for Rafting to the Next Level
Are you a skilled rafter? How much do you love white water rafting? One a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you enjoy spending time with others in the water? How about teaching others about rafting?
It looks to us like you are white water rafting guide material, so why waste that? Rafting season in Clear Creek might be over, but you know time flies, and before we know it, we will all be back in the water again. After all, wasn’t it just yesterday that summer was in full swing and now we’re heading into winter? It’s crazy.
If becoming a white water rafting guide in Colorado sounds like something you would like to do, stick with us because at Mile Hi Rafting we are very proud to have developed a rigorous rafting guide training program that can turn you into to a superhero-type rafting guide. 🦸♂️
The Colorado Statute 33-32-105.5 provides for the minimum qualifications of a professional river guide, and we are proud to say that our training program not only meets those requirements, but it also exceeds them.
We offer ten days of training on several rivers with a couple of nights of camping. There will likely be a day off at some point in the middle. A variety of rapids are experienced during training in both the Arkansas River and Clear Creek. We’ll start on more tranquil water; you will also learn how to prep meals for groups, and how to pack for overnight trips.
Our training program will start up again next year. We will communicate the dates as soon as we define them, but you should know that space is limited. So be on the lookout, so you can register as soon as possible once it is available. We will provide you with all the river gear needed throughout the training. To check out and become certified, all you need to do is be able to guide on the beginner stretch of Clear Creek —the classes there go from I to III.
We know you have what it takes. You have to believe it and join us!
