At Mile-Hi Rafting, we are proud to inform you that we will be running a Level 4 ACA Swift Water Rescue Course in conjunction with the raft guide training. The course is from May 11th to May 21st. Thanks to our experience, we have developed a rigorous guide training program that exceeds the requirements of Colorado Statute 33-32-105.5, which provides for the minimum qualifications of a professional river guide.

Our Guide Training program is ten days of actual training on several rivers, usually with a day off sometime in the middle. During the class, we will camp for a couple of nights, providing you with all the river gear needed throughout the training. The cost of the course is $600, including food and camping fees.

Certification Process

Once you complete the course successfully, you will obtain Colorado State Certification to be a professional whitewater rafting guide. Certification and getting a job are not guaranteed. We often hire from our training classes, people who excel on and off the water. Space is limited. You will receive a full refund for the $600 after two full seasons of employment.
